The government today announced a decision to increase the inflation allowance (DA) for the year, through a memorandum of office fees.
in March, the Union Cabinet approved a 4 per cent increase in DA to 21 per cent.
Central Government employees and pensioners at the current rate of D.A. Will continue to receive, i.e., 17% as part of their salary / pension, as per office memorandum.
The memorandum further states that no arrears will be paid for the period January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
However, due to the revision on July 1, 2021, D.A. Any increase in will also take into account the previous increase.
Earlier, there were reports in the media that the government would provide D.A. for its employees and pensioners.
According to the memorandum of the office, it has been decided that from January 1, 2020, the dressage allowance payable to the pensioners of the Central Government and the additional installmentllment of inflation relief will not be paid to the pensioners of the Central Government.
