The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or GSHSEB has been successfully conducted by the board examination for the current academic session 2018-2019. The Gujarat board has already announced the Gujarat 12th Science Result, GSEB HSC Science Result 2019 on May 9.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board also called as GSHSEB conducted the general class 12 board examination from March 7 to March 23, this year.

GUJARAT GOVERNMENT SCHOOL NAVARATRI VACATION LATEST IMPORTANT NEWS : NAVARATRI VACATION BABAT MAHTVPURAN NEWS

The Gujarat government on Saturday announced a nine-day vacation for all schools and colleges during Navratri festival beginning October 10.

It was in 1995 that a similar vacation during Navratri was announced, only to be withdrawn in the following year citing loss of academic days.

Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama when contacted said, “The decision was taken two months back after consultation with the leading education institutions. 

To compensate the loss of academic days due to Navratri vacation, we will reduce Diwali vacation to two weeks instead of present three weeks.”

A formal circular will be issued to the educational institutes under state jurisdiction soon.

 However, this result in shorter Diwali vacation which will be for two weeks instead of three, to prevent loss of days in the academic calendar.

Minister of state for education, Vibhavari Dave said, “Government felt Navratri is the ‘cultural identity’ of Gujarat and that youth and children should be given opportunity to participate in the festival without worrying of their attendance in schools and colleges.

The State Education department on Saturday announced Navratri holidays for the first time in schools. The government had announced Navratri holidays last month for only colleges and universities.

State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said, “It has been our experience that during Navratri, the attendance is reported to be very low. So, it was decided that instead of forcing students to come to schools and colleges after playing Garba till wee hours, they should be allowed to take offs.”

Gujarat GSEB 12th Commerce, Arts result 2019

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) will declare class 12 Arts and Commerce stream results on May 25.

 The Gujarat HSC result for Arts and Commerce stream students will be released at 8:00 am in the morning on the board's official website.

The board has already released HSC result for Science stream students. The Gujarat HSC result for Science stream students was released on May 9.

This year, the pass percentage in Science stream dipped from last year. In 2018, 72.99 per cent students passed, but this year the pass percentage decreased by almost one per cent to 71.90 per cent

The pass percentage for boys in Science stream was 71.83 per cent and for girls was 72.01 per cent this year.

The board has also, already, released SSC result. Gujarat SSC result was announced on May 21. For class 10, the pass percentage was 66.97 per cent

Gujarat board hsc result for arts and commerce streams will be released tomorrow

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) will declare class 12 Arts and Commerce stream results on May 25. The Gujarat HSC result for Arts and Commerce stream students will be released at 8:00 am in the morning on the board's official website. The board has already released HSC result for Science stream students. The Gujarat HSC result for Science stream students was released on May 9.

As per the official notice on the GSHSEB website, the marks sheets and other certificates will be distributed same day from 12 pm. The Board will also release result booklet for HSC Arts and Commerce stream after result declaration in the morning.

In 2018, GSEB had released HSC result for Arts and Commerce streams on May 31. Last year, approximately 55 per cent students passed in Arts and Commerce streams.

Approximately 5 lakh students appeared for the Gujarat Board General while nearly 17 lakh took part in all the three streams (Arts, Science and Commerce) of Class 12 board examination in the state.

For the previous years too, both the GSEB HSC arts and commerce results were out on 31 May and the GSEB HSC science was announced on 31 May.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSJSEB) will announce the results of the class 12th commerce and Arts exams tomorrow i.e. on May 25, 2019. However, the Gujarat Board has released the result for the class 12 science stream examination on May 9, 2019. The exam was conducted in 1,548 exam centers across the state. Last year, the general result was announced on May 31. Approximately, 6 lakh students are waiting for their Gujarat Board class 12 result.

This year pass percentage got slightly decreased as compared to the previous year. In 2018, overall 73 per cent students passed the exam, and in general stream 56.82 per cent candidates cleared the exam.

It is to be noted that to pass the examination, the students need to get minimum grade D in every subject combined. Candidates who will get an E grade will be eligible for supplementary exams. For those who secured below this will be termed as failed. The Gujarat board HSC exams were conducted from March 7 till March 23, 2019.

Despite protests from several schools across the state, the Gujarat government on Tuesday declared an eight-day Navratri vacation, from October 10 to October 17, for state-run or affiliated schools and colleges.

The government clarified that the decision will not be binding on schools affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and other boards schools or educational institutions not affiliated to the Gujarat government.

Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, the state education minister, said the vacation was declared to ensure that the youth can enjoy the dance festival which has religious and cultural significance. “The Navratri vacation at schools will be between October 10 and October 17, including the Sunday on October 14. It will be followed by the Dussehra holiday on October 18.

The Navratri vacation will not adversely impact exam schedules as exams are to be held between October 22 and November 3. In the case of classes IX to XII, exams will be between October 19 and October 30.”

Considering opposition to the vacation from many schools, who fear it will interfere with the set academic schedule, Chudasama reiterated that the Navratri vacation will be adjusted with the Diwali vacation.

“The Diwali vacation, which earlier stretched to November 25, now will be from November 5 to November 18. November 4 is a Sunday. The hue and cry by certain elements and the Congress are politically motivated. Not a single day of the academic session has been sacrificed for the Navratri vacation. Seven days of the Diwali vacation have been adjusted against the Navratri vacation,” Chudasama said.

Chudasama said he has not received a representation opposing the Navratri vacation. He said the decision was not taken in haste. It was taken after consulting students and education experts.

An informal group of fixed-wage employees of Gujarat — Team Fix Pay, which is coordinating the legal fight in the Supreme Court against the Gujarat government’s controversial policy of employing people on fixed wage for five years before regularising them — has decided to protest on February 16 when the policy will enter into 14th year.

The group has decided that all the state government employees who have been recruited under the fixed-wage policy will, first, give a memorandum to the concerned head of the department with a demand to end the policy immediately and second, work wearing black ribbon as a mark of protest on February 16.

Ahmedabad: In a major verdict, the Gujarat

High Court on Friday told the state government to discard its

`fixed pay job employment scheme` stating that it was

exploitative in nature.

The verdict could impact about 1.5 lakh employees who

have been recruited under the scheme in different government

departments.

A division bench of acting Chief Justice Bhaskar

Bhattacharya and Justice JB Pardiwala also told the state

government to give regular salary benefits to all its fixed

pay employees from the date of their appointment.

The Gujarat government has been employing people in

various fields like police, education, forest department on a

fixed pay basis, where they are given some basic fix pay for

the first five years.

Such employees work on contract for the first five years

and become permanent employee subsequently.

The court told the government to discard the fixed pay

employment scheme saying that it amounted to exploitation of

new employees and against fair practice.

Petitioner Rajendra Shukla in his petition had contended

that the fixed pay scheme was inhuman and new employees were

being exploited by the state government.

Majority of the recruitment will be done by the education department, to meet the criterions for implementation of Right to Education.  Education department  will recruit – shiksha sahayaks for higher secondary classes at a fixed pay of Rs 10,000 per month, shikshan sahayaks for secondary level classes for Rs 9,400, vidya sahayaks for primary schools for Rs 5,300, and saathi sahayaks (helpers) for Rs 4,500. Others to be recruited include foresters (vanpals) and constables (raksha sahayaks) for a fixed pay of Rs 4,500 or Rs 5,300. The government will also be recruiting 500 class III junior engineers for roads & buildings department for a fixed pay of Rs 16,500.

After the fierce electoral campaign for the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections, which saw over 8,000 candidates battle it out for 542 seats over five weeks, the day of reckoning has finally arrived. The counting of votes takes place today. Over 67 per cent of India's 90.99 crore electors had cast their vote in these elections, which is the highest-ever voter turnout in any parliamentary poll since independence.

Although the Election Commission has not yet revealed the exact number of counting centres, former chief election commissioner S. Y. Quraishi said last month that nearly 4,000 of them would be set up across the country.

What time will the counting of votes kick off?

The counting of votes will begin at 8 AM, starting with the postal ballots. The Returning Officer of the constituency and the Assistant Returning Officer will take the oath to maintain the secrecy of voting and read it out aloud before the commencement of counting. As per the Election Commission (EC) guidelines, the process of counting votes from the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will begin 30 minutes after this. The counting of postal ballots for each Parliamentary constituency will be taken up in one of the Assembly segment counting halls. In the remaining halls vote counting will begin at 8 am.

The final results of Lok Sabha election 2019 might be announced around 10 pm on May 23, which is several hours later than usual. The delay is because the tallying of the VVPAT slips with EVM count has increased from one to five per assembly segment, following the April 8 Supreme Court order. This process of counting is expected to take well over five hours per constituency because the physical verification will be done sequentially for five EVMs. The counting of VVPAT slips per EVM takes up to one hour.

The tallying process will only begin after the last round of counting. To ensure that there is a single source of authentic data, the EC has emphasised that round-wise data must be entered into its Suvidha application. The EC officials can log into the app and feed in the data. This will be done before the round results are declared at the counting centres.

Another delaying factor that could come into play is the number of rounds in each assembly segment. For example, Delhi has 70 assembly constituencies and in all of them, 350 VVPATs will be counted. According to the officials in Delhi CEO's office, every assembly segment had 200 polling stations and five polling stations will be selected randomly. This will delay the announcement of formal results.
